If you want to experience some 19th century charm and have a location near the Capital Park I highly recommend staying here. It has the feel of a bed and breakfast without the breakfast. I parked nearby at the garage next to K street. I was attending a conference at a booked out Hyatt - so this was perfect as it was only a 5" minute walk away.

Historic elements preserved in moldings and other aspects. It had an elevator.. Bed very comfortable. Had fridge and coffee maker. Two man jacuzzi tub was a nice bonus. Large room and good air con. Location downtown was convenient pretty close to old town which is great. many blocks of historic building on the Sacramento river front. Near some very good restaurants. Worth a stay for several days.

The location is VERY nice and the building itself is gorgeous! The room was clean and the bed was comfy too. The staff was friendly and happy to answer any questions I had. The neighborhood is very quiet even though its next to downtown. I was able to have a very nice and relaxing stay here!

Absolutely stunning historic boutique hotel. The gorgeous furniture, the wooden fixtures and crown moldings, the interior design were a chefs kiss. The building kept its classic charm but was updated with modern amenities such as their contactless check in, heating system, keurigs, and more. The bathtubs were phenomenal.

The property was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. I loved the AirBnB style of it. I would definitely stay here again.

The location was very good for what we needed. The building itself was beautiful and unique. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

Loved the decor and the style of the hotel, confortable bed, loved the ease of self entry. Morning coffee and snacks were adequate. Delighted by my room, I had the best view (‘em 300)!

The Sterling was an excellent place for our quick night! The young woman running the show was very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. It is perfect walking distance to museums, foodie spots, bars and just being old downtown. Highly recommend! Even not as an event spot. It was just my partner and I for a quick stop through and it was perfect. :)

The staff was very friendly and accommodating with our big family. The rooms were very roomy and clean. I was a bit disappointed that there was no microwave. With large families, we tend to use a microwave a lot.
